Aku kekadang, rasa macam bangan jugak la bila ilmuan dekat Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka tu mewujudkan perkataan-perkataan baru yang dipinjam dari English. diskusi? wat the heck? informasi? maklumat tak sesuai ke? kalau guna Manglish, kata tak betul. guna ayat macam SMS, tak betul. apa yg penting dlm sesuatu bahasa tu kalau bukan matlamatnya yg plg pntg? as long as the message is delivered, that's enuf. ni bila wat etems dlu, mulut sana sini bsg. kejap, dulu masa kat skolah yg blajar math dlm english tu apa dia? tkt ka anak xleh ckp english? tp nk plak subject tu pkai bm. wats wrong with using english to teach science n math? bukannya core content math/science tu hlg. bukannya ajar bi pun. tringt dlu, kalau guna bi, mcm khianat bangsa. cmon la. nk ke tak bangsa melayu maju? nk maju kena blajar tgg2. kalau dpt peluang boleh blajar smpai oversea. blajar ilmu yg ada kat diorg, bw blk. dpt tenaga pakar yg berkualiti lg. kalau nk translate buku2 tu jd bm pun, satu kerja ssh. kenapa la ssh sgt nk masyarakat nk paham tu?

My daughter is less than 2 years old and she can understand both English and Japanese, and later will introduce Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese.

I can't see why we cannot take 1 step forward to integrate the BM textbooks few years back with the current English science and maths text books. Its a lot of effort, but why move backward instead of forward. We can allow students to use either English or BM to answer in the exams as long as the maths and science principles are correct.

Some good will surely come out of the dialectics at work between both languages instead of choosing either one. We need new advancements. We need Malaysia Boleh. Not some power struggle between languages.

When will Malaysia advance and not hold on to race and language as stumbling blocks but embrace our differences as advantages?

I really like your p.s XD But it's true, really, all those Bahasa pinjaman give people nothing but headache and nigtmares. I still remembered my battle with the word 'infotainmen'. Is it English, or Malay? Even my Dad answered, "It's Malay" with such a painful smile, as if embarrassed to even admit it.

Ok Intan, saya sudah meng- Wait, what's comment in English? And I don't want the answers 'komen' or 'respon'. Still taken from English.
